Students from years 12 and 13 spent a morning at the Maidstone Apprenticeship Fair learning about apprenticeships and discovering more about the amazing opportunities that are available to them.
13 students in years 12 and 13 attended the fair, which took place on Friday 8 March. Students
engaged positively with a variety of employers about the numerous apprenticeships available at all levels.
Some of our students even had a conversation about their future pathways with Laura Trott MP, who along with other local MPs, share a passion for supporting apprenticeships as an alternative career path to University. Our students had the opportunity to meet nearly 70 employers from a wide range of sectors, including finance, hospitality, the armed forces, construction, healthcare and many more. These included large national employers such as Amazon, BAE Systems and the NHS.
Our students came away with lots of goodie bags and full of information regarding the brilliant opportunities available with apprenticeships and how they can make those next steps.
Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to earn while you learn and provide a springboard into the
world of work whilst gaining valuable skills and experience in the workplace. Whatever path students
are thinking about, whether it be from medicine to space engineering or finance, there is an
apprenticeship to help them get there.
