High-flying Year 8 student Bea Henderson has two big reasons to celebrate - after she was selected to represent Team GB in gymnastics before winning Gold at an international competition.
Fleet-footed Bea trains for more than 15 hours per week with club Tigers who are based in Tonbridge. She is all set to represent Team GB, along with partner Hector Kinghorn, at various events.
The pair received one of the top gongs at the prestigious Maia International Acro Cup Competition at the weekend, after completing three routines which culminated in one of the best scores in the whole event which took place in Portugal.
Mum Carol said: "It's absolutely fantastic for Bea, it really is. She works so hard and was chosen from about 600 or so young gymnasts, to be in Team GB. The level she has to train at is very high but she is very enthusiastic and determined."
Well done BEA, both for winning in Portugal and getting a place on Team GB, from everyone here at Weald of Kent Grammar School.
