Over 40 representatives attended the Weald of Kent Careers Fair, providing invaluable insight to our Year 9-13 students on a huge variety of different career pathways.
The Careers Fair was an excellent way for students to hear what local companies and businesses have on offer. By talking to different employers, they were able to gain an understanding of what their jobs entail, the different roles available and the skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.
Over 40 employers, professionals, universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers supported the event either by running a stall or an Industry Expert Talk. The event was aimed at Years 9 – 13 and students and parents used the opportunity to speak to employers about possible future career pathways and routes.
It was delightful to see so many students engaged in such valuable, meaningful conversations with an interesting array of professionals. We were extremely lucky to have eight representatives delivering Industry Expert Talks to students to provide them with further insight to their job roles and how they have developed their careers.
The talks involved a variety of job sectors; Law, Engineering, Aviation, Video Gaming, Nursing, Landscape Architecture, Charities and Finance. The employers were hugely complimentary about the enthusiasm of the students that they spoke to. We would like to thank all of the employers who gave up their time to attend the Careers Fair and make it a successful event.
